| Fresh corruption investigation launched into Mubarak family |

| [Al Ahram] Egypt's justice ministry has begun a fresh corruption investigation into former president Hosni Mubarak ...The former President-for-Life of Egypt, dumped by popular demand in early 2011... , his wife Suzanne and their two sons, Gamal and Alaa. The case involves the alleged illegal acquisition of 64 feddans (66.4 acres) of land in Sharqiya in the Nile Delta by the Mubarak family. A special committee has been formed to investigate the case. Newly appointed Justice Minister Ahmed Mekki referred the case for investigation after a complaint was filed last week with the general prosecutor. |
