| JERUSALEM: A Palestinian man was in serious condition after a petrol bomb hit the taxi he was traveling in near a Jewish settlement in the Bethlehem region of the West Bank, hospital officials said yesterday. Six Palestinians from the same family, residents of Nahalin village, were on Thursday evening heading to a nearby supermarket when their vehicle — painted bright yellow, marking it as a Palestinian taxi — was hit by the firebomb. The father of the family, sitting next to the driver, was stuck in the car that flipped over into a ditch after the attack and suffered burns to the face and body, officials at Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem said. Nahalin’s mayor told AFP the taxi driver had told him he saw the perpetrator, who was a Jewish settler.
