#3 Good point Besoeker. The trouble is that there are restraints against using military for cheap labour and for police work (unless unique triggering cincumstances occur)-much like your posee commititus stuff.
We had the same "issue" for the Winter Olympics - which went off well in part because the RCMP asked for and received military planning assistance early -like 2 years ahead. I suspect with the high unemployment in the UK, this is a security checklist bottleneck issue, not a hiring issue. Then again, who wants to do body searches and crawl under cars for a 2 week job in the summer heat? May as well sign up for Afghanistan as do that. |
