| US troops arrive in Yemen al-Anad base |

The US soldiers arrived in the al-Anad military base in the country's Lahaj governorate on a military plane Saturday, the Ansarullah website quoted Yemen's military sources as saying. The recent deployment comes days after an unspecified number of US marines were seen in the Yemeni port city of al- Hudaydah. The deployments come one week after Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Kurbi revealed that Sana'a had requested Washington to send liquidation drones "in some cases against fleeing al-Qaeda leaders."
