#4 Beats opening supermarkets. More seriously, there was a discussion ref the Falklands War, the last one, not the next one. The Argie generals, bashing about in their snappy uniforms and spit-shined stomping boots, with their mistresses and servants, figured two women, Thatcher and Elizabeth, were no match for such studs as they. They were wrong, but the price was high for the rest of the folks. Them, too, come to think of it, but that was only fair. Maybe having a couple of combat-experienced guys in highly visible and influential places in UK government might deter the next clowns trying to look macho by starting a war. Can't hurt. |
