| h/t Gates of Vienna Half of Algeria is still being held hostage by a wave of cold weather and snow which has hit the country over the last three days and which has taken many casualties (many caused by malfunctioning heaters and car accidents on icy roads). |

| #1 Even here on tropical Guam, we suffered a burst of what was described as "cold Arctic air" recently. BBBRRRRRRRRRRR .... Reminded me of pre-Winter back in CONUS - SUN WAS SHINING BUT EVERYBODY WAS FREEZING BOTH DAY + NIGHT. |
