#3 moose good comment about the ticket agreement but I think a court can overturn that by declaring parts of the agreement to violate a law |

#1 They can sue all they want, but if Delta offered them another flight, or a ticket refund, they will lose. The bottom line is that airline tickets have a fairly substantial use agreement that passengers are under. One rule is that pilots are in control, like ship's captains, and can refuse passengers or refuse to fly without retribution. And another is the catchall, that airlines may refuse service at their discretion. |
