2011-08-03 |
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: To grant the US soldiers an immunity, if their stay extended, needs a parliamentary resolution, legal expert said here today. Advisor Tariq Harb said that "immunity means non-implementation of Iraqi laws on American soldiers, which matter cannot be done without a law endorsed by the parliament". US Joint Chief of Staffs Mike Mullen said today that any agreement on US forces stay, after the withdrawal period, should grant the forces a legal immunity. |
