TLC has ordered eight 30-minute episodes from Shed Media. Nick Emmerson, Jennifer O'Connell and Dan Peirson are executive producers.
The TLC announcement comes on the heels of another reality series about the lives of Arab Americans: Bravo's The Shahs of Sunset, about a tight-knit community of wealthy Persian Americans living in Los Angeles. The show, from Ryan Seacrest Productions is currently in development.
