| Taliban Local Commander Killed in Maidan Wardak |

| [Tolo News] A Taliban local commander has been killed in joint Afghan and foreign forces operation on Tuesday night in Maidan Wardak province, local officials said on Wednesday. The operation was launched in Jaleez district of Maidan Wardak province last night in which a Taliban capo was killed, Haq Nawaz Haqyar, police chief of Maidan Wardak told TOLOnews. Officials said Afghan and foreign forces or civilians have suffered no casualties, he added. The Taliban have not yet commented about the operation. Afghan and foreign forces have increased their operations as Afghan forces will take security responsibility of seven areas in July this year. Militants have been active in some villages in Maidan Wardak often carrying out attacks on Afghan police check posts and NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Originally it was a mutual defense pact directed against an expansionist Soviet Union. In later years it evolved into a mechanism for picking the American pocket while criticizing the style of the American pants... supply vehicles. |
