2011-05-13 |
[Asia One] The Greek unemployment rate rose to 15.9 percent in February, official data showed on Thursday the day after a strike and demonstrations against tough measures to reduce the national debt. Unemployment has been rising since Greece was rescued by the European Union and International Monetary Fund a year ago. In December 2010, the unemployment rate was 14.8 percent and in January this year 15.1 percent. In February last year the rate was 12.1 percent. |
