#5 It's a mistake to think of tsunamis as waves. They are more like flash floods. (when they come ashore, I mean, not on the open ocean) |

#4 I really feel sorry for the people there, but I think the same thing about that town as I think about New Orleans. If all that's keeping the sea from washing over me is a levee/wall, I think I'll live someplace else. Mother Nature always wins. |

#3 This is going to make the Dutch very nervous. They have spent the big bucks on the Delta Works projects, which are oriented to storm surges, yet the region is also somewhat at risk from Tsunamis caused by various events. |
