2011-01-09
[Pak Daily Times] Additional Inspector General (Special Branch) Nasir Khan Durrani has directed Chief Security Officer Khalid Satti and Ijaz Yousaf not to leave the city, and police security has been deployed at their residences. Durrani heads the team constituted by the Punjab government to investigate the killing of Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer while DIGs Mushtaq Sukhera and Shoaib Dastgeer are its members. The committee visited the murder scene in Islamabad and met with bigwigs of the Islamabad police. Sources said no signatures of any official were found on the security plan for the governor. They said the security plan had not been updated for the last two months. Sources said the team was increasing the scope of its investigation to ascertain negligence on the part of Rawalpindi police in providing security to the governor. The team is likely to present the initial report of the governor's murder to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in a couple of days. Meanwhile,
