Two blankets with "narcomessages" have announced the services of the Sinaloa drug cartel in bringing the killers of a personal justice advocate to justice, say Mexican news accounts. Marisela Escobedo was shot to death Friday night by an unidentified assailant in Chihuahua,a shooting which has enraged officials, citizens and local press in Chihuahua.

Escobedo was involved in a personal crusade to bring her daughter's alleged killer to justice after he was released last May from time served in the murder of her daughter two years ago. The accused killer, Rafael Barraza Sergio Bocanegra, has ties to Los Zetas criminal gang in the Mexican state of Zacatecas. Los Zetas are a bitter nationwide rival of the Sinaloa drug cartel, and have ties to the Juarez drug cartel as well. The Sinaloa cartel is the Juarez cartel's main rival in Chihuahua state. The blankets were quickly removed by police.
