DREAM act dies in senate |
2010-12-18 |
The DREAM Act cloture vote just failed in the Senate, 55 to 41. The cloture vote was on the version of DREAM that passed the House earlier this month. Among Republicans, only Sens. Bob Bennett of Utah, Richard Lugar of Indiana, and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska voted for the bill. It will be back... but hopefully will stay dead with Republican gains. |

#3 Murkowski has been acting like a Democrat ever since she won re-election. I'm pretty sure the Dems are the ones that pushed her over the top in her "write-in" campaign, and this is payback. Alaskans should make her switch parties to where her loyalties belong - the left. |

#2 Lisa Murkowski of Alaska voted for the bill. Not a great of risk for her. Vegetable harvesting and residential roofing on the North Slope is not as manpower intense as it was say.....30,000 years ago. |

#1 Some quid pro quo for easing the vote to repeal DADT? |
