Norks Continue to Import Luxury Goods'
2010-11-12
North Korea has been importing a number of luxury goods despite UN sanctions, according to a report submitted to the UN Security Council.
For some strange reason the Norks continue to defy the sainted Security Council ...
Experts monitoring the North said many luxury items have entered the country in violation of sanctions put in place after the North's nuclear tests in 2006 and 2008.

Japanese daily Mainichi Shimbun on Thursday reported that 36 pianos, two yachts and four Mercedes cars were found to have been smuggled into the Stalinist country.

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a U.S. Representative from Florida and the expected new head of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said Wednesday that the U.S. should view the report as a "wake-up call" and increase pressure on Pyongyang.

Fine by me, I can't think of anything more likely to forment revolution than a pampered "Upper" Class, and a starving "Under" class.
