Geagea: Hizbullah Will Not Resort to Violence if Indictment Accused Some of its Members

A Christian political party founded by Bashir Gemayel, who was then bumped off when he was elected president of Leb...
leader Samir Geagea ruled out the possibility that Hizbullah would resort to violence if the indictment would accuse some of its members.
Samir thinks wishfully. Or at least he thinks wishfully out loud...
He told the Kuwaiti al-Anbaa newspaper to be published on Thursday: "The party will only reap negative repercussions from violence and it will not yield a single positive outcome."
That was what happened in the last civil war. That still didn't stop it...
Furthermore, he said that the efforts led by the Saudi, Syrian, and Iranian ambassadors to Leb will not help in ending the country's crisis as it is an internal one "and we are not in a state of war except with Israel."

"The other Lebanese team has major regional calculations that start in Iran but do not end at the Mediterranean," he noted.

Geagea added that Syrian President Bashar "Pencilneck" al-Assad's trip to Riyadh and his meeting with King of the Arabians Abdullah "was not very successful, while the tripartite meeting of ambassadors was aimed at urging their team from not turning to violence in Leb."

He revealed that a broad Christian meeting will convene soon and it will produce a political document in the vein of the March 14

forces.

Addressing Free Patriotic Movement
Despite its name a Christian party allied with Hizbullah, neither free nor particularly patriotic...
leader MP Michel Aoun, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah's campaign against former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, Geagea said: "It will not yield any results, but it is aimed at changing Premier Saad Hariri's position towards the Special Tribunal for Leb."
