| #14 Sure but IIUC they were being sent to the Synagogues. Brings up the question how to detonate them, I'm sure they just don't explode on their own when within 10' of a certain concentration of Jewishness. I do have a theory, and if true I understand why it would not be declared. Just hate being in the dark that's all - I also hate being cynical but we have seen the bag of tricks played over the last two months especially. Good point TFSM. |

| #8 Unless the ingredients were photo sensitive, or a time delayed temblor switch, what was the ignition source? Either this was fairly amateurish (considering it was PETN and therefore not a total amateur job): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PETN So either there was a pre-recon of the target synagogue or some ignition mechanism not yet revealed. Interesting to learn the rest of the story.... |

Were the bad guys hoping they had the 1 model toner cartridge of the thousands different styles, and then just mindlessly plug in a a cartridge obviously heavier than plastic and air? Is the synagogue using a printer which can only get parts from the ME? Big response or warning shot from the Yemen AQ? Are we sure they just were not attempting to illegally import copies of that Daily Show interview? |

| #2 I wonder if they are trying to do the same thing in the US that they did in Spain ... bombings right before the election. If so, they don't understand American psychology. When aroused, we fix the problem. And we've been getting very twitchy lately, like the response to the Ground Zero mosque/rabat. |
