8 Die in Juarez
Eight individuals were murdered in drug and gang related violence in Juarez, Chihuahua.
- Seven individuals were murdered in Juarez Saturday in four different crimes,according to the Mexican daily La Polaka. Two unidentified men were found shot to death near the corner of calles Rio Danubio and Rio Hondo in the Nogales district. Ramon Chaparro and Roberto Martinez were both found shot to death near the intersection of calles Polo Norte and 40th in the Ejidatarios de Villas de Salvarcar district. In the Tercera Burocrata district an auto mechanic was found dead. Lastly a couple was shot to death near a commercial center near the corner of bulevares Zaragoza and Oscar Flores.
- A Juarez police officer was shot to death Saturday afternoon, say Mexican news accounts. Francisco Lopez was attacked near the intersection of Libramiento Talamasca Mandari and Artiaga in the Fray GarcÃÂa de San Francisco district. He was assigned to the Benito Juarez station.
