Thai terrorists kill two, wound five |

[Bangkok Post] A former local leader and an assistant picturesque village chief have been killed in a series of gun attacks in southern Thailand. Five others were maimed in the attacks. Suding Arbu, 46, was found dead inside a bullet-riddled pickup truck on the side of a road linking Yala with Pattani at about 3:30 yesterday. Police said that an unknown number of attackers sprayed the victims' vehicle with bullets. Twenty spent shells from AK-47 and M16 rifles were collected from the scene. Also in Yarang, Matorhae Tanyongmas, an assistant picturesque village chief, was shot dead and two other picturesque villagers injured in another gun attack about 10pm on Sunday. Matorhae, 50, was ambushed by gunnies while riding a cycle of violence. |
