| PFLP, Paleo People's Party reject invite for direct talks |

| [Ma'an] Two leftist Paleostinian factions rejected Saturday calls by the Quartet and US to relaunch direct talks with Israel, a day after the PLO endorsed the resumption of negotiations. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine and the Paleostinian Peoples' Party released separate communiques slamming the Quartet's statement, which called for Paleostinian and Israeli leaders to resume talks. "The Quartet's statement means implicit legalization of settlements, the blockade and temporary Paleostinian state, which contradicts last March's statement which confirmed that settlement was illegal," the PFLP wrote. |
