[Ma'an] The Gaza government announced Saturday that security forces will begin confiscating all unlicensed weapons in the Strip in a bid to maintain public security, a spokesman said.
In a statement, Gaza police spokesman Major Ayman Al-Batneeji called for compliance with the law, urging residents to refrain from opening fire at concerts or during family disagreements, which have seen several killed.
"All illegal weapons or those used illegally will be taken without being returned to owners," Major Al-Batneeji said. |
