QUETTA: Two people were killed and four sustained injures in a clash between two rival groups in Pishin district on Saturday. The riot occurred over the nomination of a prayer leader.
According to official sources, the reported clash was for the vacant post of a prayer leader in Pishin district. The issue took an ugly turn when both the groups opened fire on each other within the premises of the mosque.
The local elders intervened and managed to bring the situation under control taking the injured and deceased to the nearby hospital. The police arrived an hour late. |
