Imam Behind New York Project Starts Mideast Tour CAIRO -- Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the organizer of the planned Muslim community center in Lower Manhattan, arrived in Bahrain on Thursday to begin a three-country tour of the Persian Gulf sponsored by the United States State Department. But the United States government refused to divulge details of his schedule of speeches and meetings, which are part of a program to promote interfaith tolerance. Local journalists have been invited to meet with Imam Feisal but were told the State Department wanted to keep the international news media at bay, said the editor of a Bahraini newspaper. |

| #3 I can explain it DMFD. Government mandated and controlled health care has been Hillary's wet dream for ages. Bill couldn't get it done for her. Hussein did. Any thing Hussein wants now from Hildebeast, he gets. Neither the mandated health care program or the Mosque is what the American people want. But these demons don't barter with the people. | #1 He's raising money, obviously. An imam oing to the Persian Gulf to "promote interfaith tolerance" is like Bernie Madoff going to Switzerland to promote paying taxes. This story has passed beyond the appalling stage into the absurd stage. It's as if Obama and Bloomberg are TRYING to hand the November elections to the GOP. |
