[The Nation (Nairobi)] The African Union has said the International Criminal court's warrant for the arrest of Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir would paralyse the ongoing efforts by AU and United Nations to bring peace and Justice in Sudan.
Peace and justice in Sudan? Whoa, did I miss something? | Last week, the ICC issued a second warrant for the arrest President Bashir. The ICC has accused President Bashir of war crimes and genocide in the Sudanese region of Darfur.
As a result of the earlier warrant, last month, Uganda refused to invite President Bashir to an African Union summit to avoid 'diplomatic embarrassment' if the ICC tried to arrest Bashir at the Kampala summit.
