2 Egyptian consulates in Basra, Arbil, says VP |

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Vice President Adel Abdulmahdi said on Tuesday that Iraq and Egypt agreed on opening two consulates in Arbil and Basra, according to a presidential statement. “We have agreed with Egypt to open a new consulate in Arbil in northern Iraq, in addition to another one in Basra,” the statement quoted the vice president as saying. “The Egyptian president expressed great interest in the development of relations with Iraq, voicing hope to form the Iraqi government as soon as possible,” said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency. |
