#6 By the way, there are no USMC Chaplains, either - they are Naval Officers,as well. I used to have a pastor who had been a Navy chaplain with the FMF. He identified more with the Marines than the Navy. |

#5 My nephew was an FMF Corpsman. He was a bit of a wimp and got a lot of harassment from the Marines. Personally, I never understood that. I would want to the Corpsman's very best friend in the world. That way, if we were ever in combat, and he had only one unit of blood, who would he give it to: me (his VERY best friend) or that son of a b*tch Gunny who had been harassing him? |

#3 S'okay. It's just my guys are a bit touchy about that. I once had to endure a 15-minute tirade from an FMF chief who got mistaken for a Marine by a family at Sea World (and who was promptly ribbed by the Marines with him). |

#1 Hospital Corpsmen are Navy. If you want to be accurate, there are Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Corpsmen. They can, if they want, wear Marine dress (with HM insignia). But they don't consider themselves Marines But there are no USMC corpsmen. |
