| Businessman kidnapped from Karachi |

| [Dawn] Famous industrialist and businessman Riaz Laalji has been kidnapped by unknown persons in Karachi on Sunday. Sources told DawnNews that Laalji returned to Pakistan from Dubai today. He was on his way home from the Quaid-e Azam Airport when unknown men on four vehicles kidnapped him. His car was found empty on Shah-re-Faisal road, a private news channel reported. Police have registered a case of the incident and started efforts for his release. Laalji, a prominent friend of President Asif Ali Zardari, was wanted in several cases including the Steel Mills case. |
