[Kyodo: Korea] North Korea warned Friday it will employ ''ultra strong'' countermeasures if South Korea refers the deadly sinking of a South Korean warship to the U.N. Security Council for imposing further sanctions on Pyongyang, which has been blamed for the incident. If North Korea employs "ultra strong countermeasures," the United States and followers such as South Korea will be held responsible for the consequences, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.
These idiots are busy talking themselves into a "put up or shut up" position. Unless somebody -- they probably expect it to be B.O. -- backs down from them pretty abjectly they're going to be in the position of having to restart the Korean War and being unable to sustain it. The Chinese aren't going to come boiling across the Yalu River in support of a nutcase with delusions of divinity, it's no longer the industrialized north against the agricultural south, and there aren't enough groceries in the cart to last them longer than a week. That puts Dear Leader in the position of losing face, which divinities can't get away with. He either retires or has a terrible accident or another "stroke." Whoever follows him -- Kim III -- starts from a weakened position and has to wait until short attention span syndrome kicks in before engaging in any further adventurism.
