[Maghrebia] The suspected ringleader of a Morocco terror network that allegedly recruited suicide bombers and guerrilla fighters for Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and the Sahel-Sahara region was arrested in France, Yabiladi reported on Friday (May 7th).
French-Moroccan Ahmed Sahnouni, 40, was indicted Wednesday in Paris on terrorism charges. The 24 members of his alleged cell were arrested in Casablanca and other Moroccan cities last month. The suspects are accused of planning to commit "assassinations and acts of sabotage against the security services and foreign interests in Morocco". |
