#10 i have contended for many years that having McAfee is worse than getting a virus. some virii do not harm your system, and most can be successfully removed. |

#9 The virus signature file reported that svchost.exe was infected, and the program removed it. That file is a vital part of Windows XP and Vista systems. Lot's of people were affected. Call it an iatrogenic problem. |

#6 I like Mac's and the user interface is simpler and more intuative. Wouldn't agree on the cheaper part though. |

#4 Always been a Symantec guy myself. Seen McAfee do too many screwy things. Upgraded to SEP 11 on my machines a coupla months ago. Very satisfied. |

#3 Tried Norton, Frank? The most annoying thing I've noticed about Norton is it seems to scan pretty often, but not at any set schedule (which I guess is good). |

#2 updated version conflicts with my Zonealarm Firewall. Apparently McAfee is now designed to be so obnoxious and annoying that I get rid of my third-party firewall that's worked fine for years. Nice |
