#1 the article contains this sentence, "Maimonides was born in Cordoba, Spain, in 1135 and fled from Christian persecution to Muslim Egypt where he died in 1204." This is false although some history books had this. It was Moslem persecution (of the convert or die variety) in Spain led to Maimonides going to Morocco. Moslem persecution there led to him going to Egypt. |
