| Mauritanian troops, drug traffickers clash near Mali border |

| [Maghrebia] A clash between Mauritanian soldiers and an armed group left three suspected drug traffickers dead and 20 others in custody on Friday (February 26th), local and international press reported. The Mauritanian, Malian and Algerian suspects were reportedly carting drugs in off-road vehicles and a small truck when the clash broke out in Lemzarrab, near the Malian border. |
