Carbon dioxide freezes to a solid at minus 78.5 degrees C and boils (becomes a gas) at minus 56.6 degrees C (both when at sea level). A few more degrees in the minus direction and Siberia will suck all of the carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, making dry ice. (Not likely, but not off scale.) |
