| 11 Taliban killed in Operation Rah-e-Nijat |

| Eleven more terrorists have been killed in the ongoing Operation Rah-e-Nijat in South Waziristan, while one soldier was martyred and two others sustained injuries, an ISPR press release said on Thursday. Security personnel consolidated their positions on the Jandola-Sararogha axis and cleared Inzar Kallay of mines, improvised explosive devices and bobby traps. Five terrorists were also killed in Zariwam. On the Shakai-Kaniguram axis, security forces advanced towards Kaniguram. A terrorist training centre was discovered in the northwest of Khaikaeh Narai. The army killed six terrorists and destroyed four bunkers in Kaniguram. On the Razmak--Makeen axis, the army secured Sharakai Sar, Pakalita and Manza Sar. Separately, during Operation Rah-e-Raast in Swat, security forces arrested four suspects from Nawakilli. The forces also seized the driver of terrorist commander Hussain, along with his vehicle, from Balogram. Around 7,099 cash cards have been distributed among internally displaced people of South Waziristan so far, said the ISPR. |
