| [Iran Press TV Latest] A top Iranian military commander says Iran's enemies are fully aware that engaging in a military conflict with Iran is 'impossible'. "The enemies of the Islamic Revolution have realized that a full-scale war with Iran is impossible," the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Chief Commander, Brigadier General Mohammad-Ali Jafari said. "The IRGC has no problem to counter enemy attacks as far as military hardware is concerned," Fars news agency quoted Jafari as saying in his speech to the IRGC forces in the western city of Sanandaj on Wednesday. He stressed that considering the great achievements Iran has made in its defense industries over the past years, the country's military might cannot be compared with the years of Iraq-Iran (1980-1988). The Iranian commander noted that the IRGC forces are organized in different provinces across Iran to counter any threats. The comments come as the new Israeli government led by hawkish Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has voiced its commitment to halt Iran's nuclear program, even through a military option. |
