Kimmie observed rocket launch: KCNA
2009-04-06
[Kyodo: Korea] North Korean leader Kim Jong Il observed the launch Sunday of a communication satellite at the launch facilityŽs control and command center on the countryŽs east coast, North KoreaŽs official Korean Central News Agency said Monday. North Korea launched a rocket it said propelled a satellite into space. Japan, the United States and other countries suspect the launch was a cover for test-firing a long-range ballistic missile.
