| President directs Sindh government to arrest culprits of Tasleem Solangi |

| President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday directed the Sindh government to arrest the culprits involved in Tasleem Solangi's murder case and a report be submitted to him within 24 hours. This picture's ugly on so many levels, starting with the poor girl having dogs set on her and being shot to death as a matter of "honor." Pak police are apparently enjoined from noticing any crime committed in their districts, to include murder most foul, unless there's been a FIR submitted in quadruplicate and signed by the aggrieved party or their duly authorized representatives. If not, there has been no crime committed. The Neanderthals inhabiting Pakistain seem to compete with each other in the extremes of mindless brutality they can achieve. Each passing year brings new depths of depravity. We can't even call them "primitives," because with the possible exception of cannibals there doesn't appear to be that much brutality common among genuine primitives. |
