| TTP utters new blood-curdling threats |

| Taliban announced a change in their strategy, declaring that from now onwards they would kill any government official taken hostage, Dawn News reported. The channel quoted Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (Swat) spokesman Muslim Khan saying that security forces should pull out of Swat or face the consequences. Analysts are interpreting this as a warning and see it as an attempt to scare the local population away from security forces, the channel said. |
