Top Iraqi official detained at Baghdad airport |
2008-08-28 |
An Iraqi official says U.S. forces have arrested Ali al-Lami, a top Shiite in charge of keeping senior supporters of Saddam Hussein out of the government. The offical, Qaiser Watout, is a member of the committee headed by al-Lami. Watout said al-Lami was arrested Wednesday at Baghdad International Airport, upon arrival from Lebanon. Watout says U.S. forces waited for al-Lami as the plane's doors opened. U.S. military officials said they arrested a senior Shiite militant at the airport on Wednesday, but did not release his name and would not say if it was al-Lami. The military says the suspect is believed to be behind a June bomb blast in Baghdad that killed four Americans and six Iraqis. |

#2 QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA is nothing but a mouthpiece for Iran and is helping to kill American forces by supplying the MSM with Iranian propaganda. I would trust MSNBC before I trusted anything this POS wrote. |

#1 QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA, Associated Press Writer Any time we can pick up a behind the scenes shit-stick like al-Lami for his role murdering Americans it is a Damn GOOD THING. Sadly it's just too bad he will skate the use of the pliars till death for killing 10 people, including four Americans. [my own private point of view, NOT US policy] |
