A special anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday declared Taliban commander Baitullah Mehsud and 11 others proclaimed offenders (PO). Judge Sakhi Muhammad Kahut was hearing the case of two explosives-laden vehicles recovered from Rawalpindi and directed the Federal Investigation Agency to arrest the POs and produce them in court on September 27. The police produced twelve other persons, allegedly involved in terrorist activities, in the ATC amid tight security. The court also ordered publication of advertisements in the media for the arrest of Mehsud and the other accused, and to display the ads at police stations and public places for the PO's identification by the general public. |
