| 10 killed after rival clans clash in southwestern district |

| At least 10 people have been killed and dozens others wounded after rival militia clashed over land ownership in Bardhere District, Gedo Region, and southwestern Somalia. The victims were the militia men who have been fighting for the third day. The two sides used various kinds of weapons. Reports say that the fighting has spread to new areas of Gedo Region. Reliable sources say that more than 20 houses, especially those belonging to pastoralists, were burnt during the fighting, while hundreds of people have been forced to flee their homes. |
