The Kenyan School named after Obama |
2008-07-29 |
This story was posted on other websites in the last couple of days, and probably here at Rantburg as well. Now it seems that milblogger Baldilocks, a retired Air Force veteran whose father came from Kenya, is taking up the cause of the school and appealing for assistance from the milblogger and conservative community. More information is here, as well as a progress report here. Me, I think it would be terribly piquant for the school to be materially aided by people like the Rantburg community... rather than (ahem) someone who has made a flashy promise and then never got around to delivering on it. (And this is the first time ever I have posted an article at the'Burg, in spite of reading and commenting for simply years!) |

#4 Thanks, all - really, what's not to like? People have done such incredibly generous things for schools in Iraq - what can we do, for this little Kenyan school. What we can do for them is so simple, and doesn't take very much at all - but it would mean so very much for the students and the teachers there. |

#3 Thanks, Mom. My PayPal account's a little flush right now (thanks to some surprising eBay sales), so I'll send some of it that way. Help people who need it, and stick it to |

#2 Simple years, and complex ones. ;-) Each post well worth the time you took to write it and us to read it -- a rare talent indeed, Sgt. Mom. |
