(VOI) - Iraqi security forces arrested 50 wanted men and suspected gunmen, seized weapons and defused 20 bombs in separate areas in Baghdad over the last 24 hours, the official spokesman for the Baghdad's operations command said on Monday. "Iraqi police and army forces arrested 41 wanted men and 9 suspected gunmen during security raids in Baghdad in the last 24 hours," General Qassem Atta told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI). "The forces detonated a car bomb, defused 20 bombs and seized large amounts of weapons, ammunitions and explosives," he added. "a total of 54 displaced families returned to their houses in the capital," the general also said. |
