Doomed to a fatal delusion over climate change
2008-07-11
PSYCHIATRISTS have detected the first case of "climate change delusion". Writing in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry, Joshua Wolf and Robert Salo of our Royal Children's Hospital say this delusion was a "previously unreported phenomenon. A 17-year-old man was referred to the inpatient psychiatric unit at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne with an eight-month history of depressed mood . . . He also . . . had visions of apocalyptic events."
I saw that movie. I think Christopher Walken wuz in it...
(So have Alarmist of the Year Tim Flannery, Profit of Doom Al Gore and Sir Richard Brazen, but I digress.)

"The patient had also developed the belief that, due to climate change, his own water consumption could lead within days to the deaths of millions of people through exhaustion of water supplies."
Well...doesn't he have a high opinion of himself...

#1  Not really. The series of decades ago Earth-visible solar explosions and related known as the SIRIUS EVENT/EFFECT did take place - THE PROB IS THE SUM OF WRITTEN/RECORDED HUMAN HISTORY IS ONLY APPROXI 5000 YEARS OLD AND COUNTING ACCORDING TO PERTS, minutae Time in the known andor estimated Human-Geologic Timeline since the "Big Bang" [Ice Ages, Great Extinction Epochs, etc.].

IOW, US-WORLD PERTS ARE UNCERTAIN WHAT THE SIRIUS PHENOMENA MEANS IN RELATION TO HUMANITY'S EXISTENCE = LT SURVIVAL, AS MODERN ACADEMIA = MODERN EMPIRICAL METHODS WEREN'T AROUND AT THE TIME OF PAST EVENTS OR GEOLOGIC PHASES, ETC.

"Tis why most modern "THEORIES" OF SCIENCE(S) ARE STILL ONLY THEORIES, OR LESSOR HYPOTHESAE, NOT "LAWS" OF SCIENCE(S).
