Russian supermodel plunges to her death from Manhattan apartment
2008-06-30
Ruslana Korshunova, a 20 year-old Russian supermodel, plummets to her death in an apparent suicide, from her ninth floor apartment in lower Manhattan.
I saw this movie. It had Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. Gibson was really good.
Truly heart-breaking news, the long-haired beauty, Ruslana Korshunova, 20, apparently jumped to her death into the middle of busy Water St. in the Financial District around 2:30 p.m. The witnesses to the apparent suicide saw the barefoot woman, dressed in blue jeans and a purple tank top, and noticed her beauty immediately, although they did not realize at the time she was a world-famous model.

#7  Yeah, yeah,...and if she had been a Pole it would'a been a basement apartment.

#6  I could have made her happy. It would have been a fairy tale romance; passionate, but tragically short-lived, with someone throwing themselves off a balcony at the end. Oh, wait...

#4  Well, I never heard of her before this, so I guess it was a good career move.

#3  From another site - Her break came when modeling booker Debbie Jones noticed her while perusing an in-flight magazine article about Korushnova's hometown of Almaty, according to the Vogue report.

"She looked like something out of a fairytale!" Jones told the magazine. "We had to find her and we searched high and low until we did!"

recalls another movie tale that ends with a big jump - And now, ladies and gentlemen, before I tell you any more, I'm going to show you the greatest thing your eyes have ever beheld. He was a king and a god in the world he knew, but now he comes to civilization merely a captive - a show to gratify your curiosity. Ladies and gentlemen, look at Kong, the Eighth Wonder of the World.

Couldn't leave 'em live in their natural habitat could they?
