'Religious forces won't retreat until US troops leave bunkers' - Fazl
2007-12-27
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Wednesday that the religious forces would not retreat until the US and its allies vacated their bunkers.

With reference to his address at a meeting in the Bakakhel area of FR Bannu, Aaj TV quoted Fazl as saying that the MMAÂ’s performance during its five-year rule in the NWFP was exemplary.

He said the province had prospered despite economic sanctions and extreme pressure from the international community and the central government. He said his party believed in dialogue, which is essential to durable peace in the region. He said any rigging in the polls would have grave repercussions.
