| Turkish military fires on Kurdish rebels inside Iraq: report |

| Turkey's military said Saturday that it fired on a group of between 50 to 60 Kurdish rebels inside Iraqi territory, inflicting "significant losses," the Associated Press reported. The military said on its website that the rebels were detected following intelligence work and that military operations in the region would continue if necessary, according to AP. The military did not say whether its troops crossed into Iraq, AP reported. |

| #1 If they did, how far. Hot pursuit is somewhat legitimate and Iraq should not be considered a sanctuary for PKK thugs. |
