| A suicide car bomb blew up Thursday evening at a public caf{ in Baghdad, killing at least eight people and leaving 25 wounded, an Iraqi source said on Thursday. The source told KUNA the suicide attacker rammed his explosives-laden car into a popular cafe and detonated the bomb, adding that the death toll could rise as some of the wounded were in critical conditions. The incident took place at 9:00 pm (1800 GMT) shortly after the Eid al-Fitr holiday began while young men were relaxing at the cafe in New Baghdad area in the southeast of the capital, according to the source. The explosion caused damage to nearby shops, including several vehicles who parked near the cafe. |
