A retired air vice-marshal of the Pakistan Air Force, Chaudhry Lateef Kamra, was shot dead Wednesday by a single unidentified accused outside of his office.Kamra, 78, retired around 20 years ago from the Air Force and started working as the director of Jason Construction Company.Clifton Town Police Officer (TPO) Azad Khan told Daily Times that Kamra had disputes with people from other companies and also with people who purchased land or property from the deceasedÂ’s company. It could have been one of these people, the TPO said. Kamra left his house, located in DHA Phase V, as usual and got to his office in Phase II around 11:00 a.m., said Khan. Kamra sustained four bullet wounds and died on the spot. According to some witnesses, the accused was alone and appeared around 25 to 35 years old. He was on a motorcycle and was standing near KamraÂ’s office when Kamra got there. He fled on his motorcycle after opening fire. KamraÂ’s body was taken to JPMC. FIR No. 387/07 has been lodged against the unidentified accused on behalf of the deceasedÂ’s daughter, Dr Samina.
